【摘要】:Thistestmethodcoversaprocedureforthemagneticparticleexaminationofsteelforgingsusingalternatingcurrentasthepowersource.Theprocedurewillproduceconsistentresultsuponwhichacceptancestandardscanbebased.Thistestmethoddoesnotcontainacceptancelimitsorrecommendedqualitylevels.Onlyalternating50-60cyclecurrentshallbeusedastheelectricpowersourceforanyofthemagnetizingmethods.Theabilitytodetectsubsurfacediscontinuitiesisverylimitedwhenusinganalternatingpowersource,andthereforethetestsurfacesshouldbeinthefinalthermallytreatedandfinishmachinedcondition.Whensubsurfaceindicationsaresoughtinforgings,thendcmagnetizationinaccordancewithTestMethodA275/A275Mshouldbeused.Thevaluesstatedineitherinch-poundunitsorSIunitsaretoregardedseparatelyasstandard.Withinthetext,theSIunitsareshowninbrackets.Thevaluesstatedineachsystemarenotexactequivalents;thereforeeachsystemshallbeusedindependentlyoftheother.Combiningvaluesfromthetwosystemsmayresultinnonconformancewiththespecification.Unlesstheorderspecifiestheapplicable"M"specificationdesignation[SIunits],theinch-poundunitsshallbeused.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
