【摘要】:1.1Thisconsumersafetyperformancespecificationprovidessafetyandperformancestandardsforvarioustypesofpublicplaygroundequipment.Itspurposeistoreducelife-threateninganddebilitatinginjuries.1.2Therangeofusersencompassedbythisconsumersafetyperformancespecificationisthe5thpercentile2-year-oldthroughthe95thpercentile12-year-old.1.3Homeplaygroundequipment,toys,amusementrides,sportsequipment,fitnessequipmentintendedforusersovertheageof12,publicuseplayequipmentforchildren6to24months,andsoftcontainedplayequipmentarenotincludedinthisspecification.1.4Productsormaterials(sitefurnishings)thatareinstalledoutsidetheequipmentusezone,suchasbenches,tables,andborders,usedtocontainprotectivesurfacing,arenotconsideredplaygroundequipmentandarenotincludedinthisspecification.1.5Thisspecificationdoesnotaddressaccessibility,exceptasitpertainstosafetyissuesnotcoveredintheAmericanswithDisabilitiesActAccessibilityGuidelines(ADAAG).1.6Thisconsumersafetyperformancespecificationincludesthefollowingsections:1.7GeneralMeasures,Tolerances,andConversions1.7.1Thegeneraltolerancesforthisspecification(unlessotherwisespecified)areasfollows:Thesetolerancesstillapplytoadimensionevenwhentermslikegreaterthan,lessthan,minimum,ormaximumareused.1.7.2Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.ThevaluesgiveninparenthesesaremathematicalconversionstoSIunitsthatareprovidedforinformationonly.1.7.3Theconversionfactorfrominch-poundtometricunitsis1in.=25.4mm,and1lb=0.45359kg.1.7.4Seeforfiguresreferencedthroughoutthisspecification.1.7.5Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
