【摘要】:1.1Thisspecificationestablishesrequirementsforthematerialproperties,includingdimensionalstability,weatherability,andextrusionquality,ofrigidpoly(vinylchloride)(PVC)exteriorprofileextrusionsusedforassembledwindowsanddoors.Methodsfortestingandforidentifyingexteriorprofileextrusionsthatcomplywiththisspecificationarealsoprovided.1.2RigidPVCrecycledplasticmaybeusedinthisproductinaccordancewithrequirementsinSection5.Note18212;Informationwithregardtoapplication,assembly,andinstallationshouldbeobtainedfromthemanufacturersoftheprofilesandofthewindowsanddoors.Note28212;RefertoSpecificationD3678forinteriorprofileextrusions.1.3Color-holdguidelinesareprovidedinanappendixforthemanufacturer''sproductdevelopmentandqualityperformanceuse.1.4Color-holdguidelinesarepresentlylimitedtowhite,grey,beige,lightbrown,anddarkbrown(seeFigs.X1.1throughX1.5).Additionalcolorswillbeaddedascolorguidelinesaredeveloped.1.5Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.ThevaluesgiveninparenthesesaremathematicalconversionstoSIunitsthatareprovidedforinformationonlyandarenotconsideredstandard.Note38212;TherearenoISOstandardscoveringtheprimarysubjectmatterofthisspecification.1.6Thetextofthisstandardreferencesnotesandfootnoteswhichprovideexplanatorymaterial.Thesenotesandfootnotes(excludingthoseintablesandfigures)shallnotbeconsideredasrequirementsofthisstandard.1.7Thefollowingsafetyhazardscaveatpertainsonlytothetestmethodsportion,Section10,ofthisspecification:Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
